From Big Sky, Montana, to the untamed heart of Yellowstone, the Great American West rises like a living epic—vast, wild, and crowned with quiet majesty.

Through my lens, the land reveals its ancient power in vivid color and rugged texture, as light sweeps across ridgelines, rivers, and endless skies with the force of time itself.

Across the Great West, every horizon becomes a grand new frame, where nature’s glory unfolds in shadow, color, and motion like a legend written across the earth.

This cinematic visual album gathers those powerful moments into an epic cinematic journey, honoring the timeless spirit, untamed beauty, and enduring grandeur of the Great West.

For this cinematic photo album, I began with still photographs I created in Adobe Firefly and shaped them into artistic video shorts. The process led me to think about how AI can have a meaningful place in visual art, much as creative tools have for years in programs such as Photoshop. For me, what matters most is that human imagination remains at the center of the work and that the tools used along the way are acknowledged honestly.

Now you know why Big Sky, Montana is called Big Sky. See more photos of the "wild west" in the stuartPhoto Galleries.

At the same time, I want to preserve the integrity of the original videos and photographs I capture myself, so I do not use AI to alter them. For this project, I edited all my still photographs in DxO PhotoLab 9. In many ways, this album became more than a collection of images; it became a way to reflect on and share what I experienced while exploring the Great West.
